Charming necklace assorted crisocola and turquoise beads, with spondylus disks and two sodalite beads. In ancient times, the source of crisocola was located in the Chinchipe region, in southern Ecuador. Th spondylus beads, not found in Peru, came from the waters of Ecuador. Turquoise and crisocola were thought to be charged with a positive energy, representing life beyond death.
Necklaces were found in Chimù burials. Modern stringing with clasp, strudy and suitable for wearing.
