A figural stirrup spout vessel depicting a jaguar standing on four short legs displaying large hooked claws. Expressive facial features with perked ears, bulging eyes, arched brow and fanged mouth. The body is decorated with an overall circular pattern. Gray ground with traces of red highlights to the head and body decoration. Professionally repaired from approximately a dozen original pieces with restoration over the breaklines. A rare and impressive example.
